Our Story

Scandinavian Wallpaper was founded in 2015 by Kim Florens, a native of Sweden with a lifelong appreciation for Scandinavian design.

After moving to the United States, Kim saw an opportunity to make the wallpapers and design traditions she grew up with more accessible to American homeowners and interior designers. With a passion for design and a renewed interest in wallpaper transforming interiors, she created Scandinavian Wallpaper to bring authentic Scandinavian craftsmanship and design to the U.S. market.

Today, Scandinavian Wallpaper is based in Sarasota, Florida, where we have our office and showroom, and we serve homeowners, interior designers, architects, and businesses throughout the United States.

Growing up in Sweden means being surrounded by a design tradition that values craftsmanship, thoughtful details, nature, color, and spaces that are beautiful but also comfortable to live in.

Our team provides personal assistance with wallpaper selection, samples, measurements, roll calculations, pattern repeats, and custom mural sizing and placement. Whether you're wallpapering a powder room or working on a much larger project, we're happy to help you through the process.

Custom Wall Murals

In addition to traditional wallpaper, we offer a wide selection of custom-sized Scandinavian wall murals.

Rather than being limited to standard wallpaper rolls, these murals are produced specifically for the dimensions of your wall. Our team can assist with measurements, scaling, placement, and design previews so you can see how a mural will work in your space before it is printed.

    If you're in Florida, we invite you to visit our showroom in Sarasota on Florida's west coast.

    Nearly 30 wallpaper designs are displayed on our walls, with hundreds more available on rolls for a closer look. Our extensive collection of wallpaper books provides even more inspiration and gives you the opportunity to experience colors, textures, and patterns in person.

    Our showroom is also a place to get personal help. We can sit down with you, look through collections, compare designs, and help you find the wallpaper that's right for your space.

    We ship wallpaper and murals nationwide, and our sample service allows you to experience the color, texture, and scale of a design in your own space before making a final decision.

    Most samples are personally cut and prepared at our Sarasota showroom, giving you a convenient way to compare your favorites at home and choose with confidence.

    Our Trade Program offers professional pricing, samples, and personalized project support. At our Sarasota showroom, designers can also use our dedicated conference room to meet with clients and browse our collections together.
