FAQ

What is a double roll of wallpaper?

reply: A "double roll" is the European standard size of wallpaper rolls compare to the US standard size called "single roll". All of our wallpaper rolls are double roll and the size of the roll is what you find in "Specification" on each item. A double roll is still just one roll.

How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?

reply: The easiest way to calculate the number of rolls you need is to use the roll calculator found on each item on our website.

Should I order a sample before ordering the rolls?

reply: We recommend ordering a sample of this item before purchasing the rolls, as the color may appear differently on your screen.

What does "Non-woven" mean?

reply: Non-woven wallpaper is a type of paper that contains polyester fibers. This means that the paper remains strong when wet and does not swell. All our wallpaper is "Non-woven" wallpaper.

What do the symbols on the roll represent?

reply: Product information – Scandinavian Wallpaper

Do the walls need to be lined before hanging the wallpaper?

reply: The wallpaper itself does not require a liner, but if the wall has light texture a liner can smooth it out so that the texture doesn't show through the wallpaper. The wall does not have to be perfect by any means, but a rough texture will show through especially in the one-colored sections. An option to liner could be skim-coating the wall, which may be required if you have a really rough texture.

Can I wallpaper my bathroom?

reply: Our wallpapers are not rated for use in wet areas according to current building standards, although it’s obviously fine to wallpaper an area with just a toilet and a washbasin, where the humidity levels are significantly lower than in a bathroom fitted with a shower or bath.

What does EasyUp mean?

reply: All our wallpaper is so-called "EasyUp wallpaper". It means that you can apply adhesive directly on the wall and hang the wallpaper edge to edge., no need for a table etc. Non-woven wallpaper is a type of paper that contains polyester fibers. This means that the paper remains strong when wet and does not swell.

What kind of adhesive should I use?

reply: Adhesive for Non-woven wallpaper is recommended. You can find it at Home depot.

How do I hang the wallpaper?

reply: Check out our "Wallpaper school" for step-by-step instructions.

Can shipping be expedited?

reply: Our wallpaper is shipped directly from our manufacturer in Sweden, and as a result, all shipments must pass through customs. We utilize expedited services through FedEx or UPS, with an estimated delivery time of 6-10 business days from the date of order. Please be aware that there may be temporary delays due to the implementation of new procedures and tariffs.

Will the new tariffs affect me as a customer?
reply: We would like to inform you of the upcoming tariff changes that will take effect in April 2025 and how these changes may affect both our business and your orders. As most of our wallpaper orders are shipped from our manufacturer in Sweden, which is part of the European Union, these tariffs will directly impact our costs, as we, as the importer, will bear the additional expense.

While we are committed to absorbing as much of the cost increase as possible, please note that we will not be passing the direct tariff costs onto our customers at this time. However, if these tariffs remain in place for the long term, we may need to adjust our pricing. At this moment, we cannot predict the exact impact of these changes.

In addition, please be aware that the lead time for certain items may increase due to these changes. To help mitigate any potential delays or customs issues, we will be bringing select goods to our showroom before shipping them to customers.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Why is there a re-stocking fee on returned rolls?
reply: We have implemented the re-stocking fee to help cover the costs associated with returned rolls that may not be resalable. This is because the returned items are from different batches, which may already be sold out. Since we cannot mix rolls from different batches in the same order, we may never be able to resell the returned rolls. The fee helps offset the loss associated with these items.

What is a batch number?

reply: Wallpaper is printed in batches of rolls. It is important to have the same batch number, to ensure colors match exactly. You will find the batch number on the wallpaper label.

reply: Most of our regular (non-photo wall) wallpaper rolls are approximately 32 feet long and 21 inches wide. You can find the exact measurements for each item in the specification section on the product page of our website.
