* What is a double roll of wallpaper?
A double roll is the standard roll size commonly used for European wallpaper and is larger than what is traditionally referred to as a U.S. single roll.
All of our regular wallpaper is sold by the double roll. A double roll is still one physical roll of wallpaper, not two separate rolls.

* How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?
The easiest way to determine how many rolls you need is to use the Roll Calculator available on each wallpaper product page.
Enter your wall measurements, and the calculator will estimate the number of double rolls needed. Be sure to use the calculator for the specific wallpaper you are ordering, as roll dimensions, pattern repeat, and pattern match can vary between designs and affect the amount of wallpaper required.

* What size is a roll of wallpaper?
Most of our regular, non-mural wallpaper rolls are approximately 33 feet long and 21 inches wide.
Roll sizes can vary by product, so always check the Specifications section on the individual product page for exact measurements.
* Should I order a wallpaper sample before ordering rolls?
Yes, we recommend ordering a sample before purchasing wallpaper whenever possible.
Colors can appear differently depending on your computer or phone screen, lighting, and surrounding colors. A physical sample allows you to see the actual color, pattern, and material in your own space before placing your order.
* What size are your wallpaper samples?
Most of our wallpaper samples are approximately 12 × 8.5 inches. Sample sizes may vary depending on the manufacturer and design.
* Is sample shipping free?
Yes. Wallpaper samples ship free within the United States.
* Is your wallpaper eco-friendly?
Our manufacturers are committed to environmentally responsible wallpaper production. Our wallpapers are produced without toxins, heavy metals, or substances known to be harmful to the environment or potentially allergenic.
* What does non-woven wallpaper mean?
Non-woven wallpaper is made from a blend of natural and synthetic fibers that creates a strong, dimensionally stable material.
Unlike traditional wallpaper, non-woven wallpaper does not need to soak before installation and does not significantly expand or shrink when wet. This allows adhesive to be applied directly to the wall, making installation easier and more precise.
* What does paste-the-wall mean?
Paste-the-wall wallpaper allows you to apply wallpaper adhesive directly to the wall rather than applying paste to the wallpaper and allowing it to soak.
The dry wallpaper can then be hung directly onto the pasted wall, edge to edge. This makes installation cleaner, faster, and easier than traditional wallpaper installation methods.
* What does “EasyUp” mean?
All of our wallpapers are EasyUp, a wallpaper quality developed for easy installation. The wallpaper is dimensionally stable, allowing adhesive to be applied directly to the wall and the wallpaper to be hung edge to edge without soaking.
With EasyUp wallpaper, you simply apply the adhesive directly to the wall and hang the wallpaper using the paste-the-wall method.
* What kind of wallpaper adhesive should I use?
We recommend using an adhesive specifically designed for non-woven or paste-the-wall wallpaper.
Suitable wallpaper adhesive is available from most major hardware and home improvement stores, as well as online retailers.
* How do I install the wallpaper?
Our Wallpaper School provides step-by-step instructions to help you prepare your walls, apply adhesive, hang the wallpaper, trim the edges, and achieve a professional-looking result.
* Do my walls need to be lined before hanging wallpaper?
Not necessarily. Non-woven wallpaper does not require a wall liner when installed on a properly prepared, smooth surface.
However, if your walls have noticeable texture, a liner can help create a smoother surface and prevent the texture from showing through the wallpaper. This can be particularly important with light-colored or solid areas of a design.
For heavily textured walls, skim coating may be necessary to create a sufficiently smooth surface before wallpapering.
* Can I wallpaper over textured walls?
It depends on the amount of texture. Very light texture may be acceptable, but noticeable texture can show through wallpaper, particularly in light-colored or solid areas.
For the best result, we recommend creating a smooth surface before installation. Depending on the existing wall, this may involve using wallpaper liner or skim coating.
* Are your wallpapers washable?
Yes. Our wallpapers and murals can be gently wiped with a damp cloth.
Be sure to wring out excess water before wiping and avoid scrubbing, as this may damage the surface or cause color to rub off.
During installation, any wallpaper paste that gets onto the face of the wallpaper should be gently removed with a clean, damp cloth before it dries.
* Are your wallpapers lightfast and resistant to fading?
Yes. Our wallpapers have good lightfastness, meaning they are resistant to fading from normal exposure to sunlight.
As with all wallpaper and other interior materials, colors may gradually fade over time, particularly when exposed to prolonged direct sunlight.
* Can I use wallpaper in a bathroom?
Our wallpapers are not rated for installation in wet areas, such as inside a shower or other surfaces exposed directly to water.
Wallpaper can generally be used in areas with lower moisture levels, such as a powder room containing a toilet and sink.
* What do the symbols on wallpaper rolls mean?
Wallpaper labels use standardized symbols to provide information about characteristics such as washability, lightfastness, pattern matching, paste application, and removal.

* What is a wallpaper batch number?
Wallpaper is manufactured in production batches, and there can be slight color variations between batches.
For this reason, all rolls used next to each other should have the same batch number to ensure the best possible color match.
The batch number can be found on the wallpaper roll label.
We recommend ordering enough wallpaper for your entire project at the same time whenever possible.
* What is the fire classification of your wallpaper?
Our wallpapers generally have a B-s1, d0 fire classification.
If you require fire documentation for a commercial or specific project, please contact us before ordering so we can help confirm the applicable classification and documentation for the product you are considering.
* Where does your wallpaper ship from?
Our wallpaper is sourced from our Scandinavian manufacturers, with many orders shipped directly from Sweden to customers in the United States.
Samples are generally prepared and shipped from our location in Sarasota, Florida.
Shipping arrangements may vary depending on the brand and product.
* How long does shipping take?
The normal lead time for most regular wallpaper orders is approximately 6–10 business days from the date of order.
Because many orders are shipped directly from our manufacturers in Sweden, international shipments must clear U.S. customs. Although we use expedited UPS or FedEx services, customs processing or other circumstances outside our control can occasionally cause delays.
The estimated lead time for a specific product can be found on its product page.
* Can shipping be expedited?
Our regular wallpaper orders already use expedited international shipping services such as UPS or FedEx.
Because many orders are shipped directly from Sweden and must clear U.S. customs, we generally cannot guarantee delivery earlier than the estimated lead time shown for the product.
If you have a specific deadline, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to advise you on the available options.
* How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on wallpaper orders over $150 within the United States.
For wallpaper orders of $150 or less, shipping is $45.
Wallpaper samples ship free within the United States.
* Will tariffs affect the price of my order?
Any applicable tariffs that we account for are included in the prices shown on our website. You will not see a separate tariff charge added to your wallpaper price at checkout.
* Do you ship wallpaper to Canada?
We have temporarily suspended shipments to Canada due to uncertainty surrounding tariffs and cross-border shipping requirements.
We plan to resume shipping to Canada once the situation becomes clearer.
* What is your return policy?
Standard wallpaper products purchased from Scandinavian Wallpaper may be returned within 45 days of purchase, provided they are unopened and returned in their original product packaging.
A 25% restocking fee applies to returned wallpaper, and return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Once the returned wallpaper has been received and verified to be in good condition, the applicable refund will be issued.
Wallpaper samples are non-returnable.
Custom-made or personalized products cannot be returned. This includes most of our custom-sized wallpaper murals, which are produced specifically to the customer's measurements or specifications.

* Why is there a restocking fee on returned wallpaper?
Wallpaper is manufactured in batches, and rolls from different batches should not be mixed on the same installation because slight color variations can occur.
When wallpaper is returned, the matching batch may already be sold out. This can make individual returned rolls difficult or impossible to resell as part of another order.
The restocking fee helps offset the costs and potential loss associated with processing and handling returned wallpaper.
